Use of the tools

The color tools on this site — the palette generator, format converter, contrast checker, gradient generator, and related utilities — are provided for informational and design-assistance purposes only. Results are estimates and computed values, not a substitute for professional design review, a color-managed print proof, or a formal accessibility audit. Verify important decisions independently before relying on them.

No warranty

This site and its tools are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep formulas and information accurate and current — the WCAG and APCA contrast formulas and the RGB/HEX/HSL/CMYK conversion formulas are implemented against their published specifications — but we don't guarantee the tools are error-free or suitable for every use case. The CMYK conversion in particular is a standard on-screen approximation, not a color-managed print profile.

Limitation of liability

PaletteGen is not liable for decisions made based on colors, palettes, or calculations provided by this site.

Affiliate and advertising disclosure

This site does not currently display third-party advertising and does not currently contain affiliate links. If that changes, this section will be updated to name the specific ad network(s) or affiliate program(s) in use, and any editorial content or tool results will remain independent of those relationships.
